Friends of Hawthorne PTA is a group of parents, caregivers, teachers, and community members who work together to support and bring resources to the Hawthorne Elementary Community. We focus on increasing volunteerism, fostering participation in community-building events, and raising funds for the school.

GENERAL POTLUCK DINNER MEETINGS are held throughout the year on designated Wednesdays from 6pm – 7:30pm. ALL ARE WELCOME. Free childcare and interpreation in Spanish, Vietnamese and Oromo provided.
These meetings create community and are used to recruit volunteers to support events and activities.

Friends of Hawthorne Board meetings are also held during the school year: Officers, committee chairs, leads and others interested in PTA business meet in the library from 6pm - 7:30; Free childcare is often provided.

Friends of Hawthorne PTA is an active chapter of the Washington State PTA.
