FOH game night and meeting
Join other Hawthorne families in the cafeteria to play board and card games and snack on cookies and cocoa! Bring cookies and games to share. FOH will provide cocoa and hot tea. Short FOH meeting 7-7:30pm. Kids are welcome to join in on the fun and free childcare will provided during the meeting.

Families Crafting Change holiday market
Level up your holiday shopping by supporting local makers and schools at the same time! Families Crafting Change Holiday Market is offered by parents/caregivers/students in South Seattle. Proceeds benefit our school through the SE Seattle Fundraising Alliance which equitably shares funds across schools in our community.

Studentst are encouraged to wear purple and walk to school to celebrate Ruby Bridges. Learn more about Ruby’s story and the foundation dedicated to improving educational equality.

Hawthorne’s annual Day of the Dead celebration is Thursday, November 7th from 5:30 - 7pm.
It is a night of performance, food and fun. We need help making it a success - volunteer here!

Hawthorne Open House
Hawthorne’s Open House is Thursday, October 10th from 5:00 - 6:30pm. Ms Flavors will welcome everyone on the playground (weather permitting). Then families can head inside to check out their student’s classrooms.
We need volunteers to help families sign in! Shift is from 4:30 - 5:15 and you won’t miss anything.
Fall ASE classes begin!
Fall ‘24 after school enrichment classes begin on Monday, October 7th.
FOH September Meeting
Join us in the Hawthorne cafeteria for a potluck and bingo at the first FOH meeting of the school year. Childcare provided.
Back to School BBQ
Join the entire Hawthorne community for a back to school BBQ on Hawthorne’s playground. Principal Flavors and teachers will be joining us. FOH PTA will have an information booth and is providing food and drink for all families. Volunteers needed!
