All FOH Committees welcome new members throughout the school year.

• Amplifies any issues relating to equity, legislation and funding

• Connects Hawthorne to Southeast Seattle Schools Fundraising Alliance (SESSFA)

• Organizes annual Move-a-Thon event.

Creates and sends biweekly FOH newsletter and promotes upcoming events

Lead: Vanessa Payne

• Leads the recruitment and nomination of the FOH Team.

• Helps FOH Team fill open roles

• Presents a slate of officers to be elected at the May FOH mtg

Lead: Caitlin Manchester

• Manages the Hawthorne After School Enrichment Program (ASE)

• Works with vendors and instructors to provide high-quality after-school classes

• ASE Volunteer Roles

Lead: Dawn Bushnaq

• Plans and hosts Hawthorne school events and FOH meetings

• Coordinates volunteer efforts

Lead: Heather Koelsch

• Plans and implements Hawthorne playground projects with input from admin and families

• Responsible for playground ongoing maintenance

• Works with Fundraising and writes grants for funding as necessary

• Drafts and presents the FOH Budget, to be voted on in the May FOH mtg

• Performs a mid-year and end of year financial review

• Helps with monthly reconciliation for FOH expenses and income

• Raises funds that support Hawthorne staff and students

• Works with admin to determine fundraising priorities

• Manages the Phoenix Fund program.

• Holds fundraising events such as auctions and spirit wear sales

Lead: Molly Judge

• Organizes activities to show our community's deep appreciation for Hawthorne's amazing faculty and staff

• Responsible for stocking the staff lounge with tasty snacks, providing monthly breakfasts, and managing staff wish lists

• Showers them with surprises during Staff Appreciation (Spring).
