FOH Appreciates All Volunteers

There are two ways to volunteer at Hawthorne: students at school and FOH committees

Students at school

If you want to volunteer, for example in the classroom, or in proximity to students, you’ll need to go through the SPS Volunteer Approval Process. This can take up to three weeks and must be renewed every two years.  Start the process by clicking here.

IN CLASS & AT SCHOOL: Reading support, library, art room, and classroom support.

DAYTIME SCHOOL EVENTS: Field trips, assembly, etc.

EVENING EVENTS AT SCHOOL: Dia De Los Muertos; Literacy, Health, and Fitness Night; Multicultural Night, End-of-year Dance, and Back to School BBQ.

Current volunteer opportunities:

Volunteer cafeteria monitor for Tuesday breakfasts. Shift would be every Tuesday from 7:30 - 8:15 AM. Duties include watching over Hawthorne students as they eat breakfast and helping them as needed - no food prep or food service required. If interested, please contact the main office at 206-252-7210 or email Doeaton@seattleschools.org. You must be an SPS approved volunteer
