Playground work party October 17th, 24th & 25th
We need your help Saturday, Oct 17th
We'll be coming together for "socially distanced" work party assembling the new playground climbers, preparing the garden for winter, as well as planting more plants in the Natural Play Area. Unlike previous work parties, all volunteers will need to sign up for a shift in advance as part of SPS COVID guidelines.
How do you do a Socially-Distant Work Party?
We've developed the following plans together with Seattle Public Schools:
We've divided up the work into three areas of the school yard: assembling the new play structures, planting in the Natural Play Area, and cleaning up the garden. We'll work in shifts with only 5 volunteers in each area at a time. Since we will be limited to 15 volunteers at a time, we need everyone to sign-up in advance.
We'll all do our best to keep physically distanced while working.
Everyone is required to wear a mask while on site.
We'll have two hand washing stations
We won't have any refreshments this year, so bring your own water bottle.
We're limiting Saturday to just adults, but we're hoping families will sign-up to help with additional work the next two weekends. Check out the sign-up sheet for details.
